WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Plantation Cafe is located in the centre of Guildford. It's open 6 days a week for 13 - 25 year olds. The café is a place to come and chill out, off load, meet new friends and have a lot of fun!

WHAT GOES ON DOWN THAT ALLEYWAY?

There’s a lot going on in the café throughout the year. We have our gig nights which run every month, movie nights, party nights, competitions and charity events. Inside the café we have sofa’s, pool table, table football, a Wii console, laptops and free internet access. As well as our own café ipod that you can select songs on to play.

Crucial to the café are our friendly café staff who are there to listen, chat and talk about anything and everything you want to.

WHAT MAKES IT A CAFÉ?

We serve a range of hot and cold food and drink, to keep you going – including the infamous Plantation café Toastie! Everything in our menu is under £1.20! We also have free water always on hand.

WHAT IS THE CAFÉ COUNCIL?

The café council is made up of café regulars. They meet once a month on a Thursday evening and they plot and plan what needs to happen in the café to make it even better. The café council also run a youth venue at Guilfest music festival for other young people, a café at rampage skate event as well as taking part in all sorts of fundraising activities for the café and Guildford YMCA. The café council is crucial to the running and development of the café. Please see below for who to speak to about being involved in the council.

Plantation has a very strict drugs and alcohol policy. No drugs or alcohol are permitted on Plantation premises. Staff have the right to search bags and have very good relationships with the local police. The police will be called and will respond quickly if illegal substances are found or suspected.
