Who we are
Plantation is a professional youth venue and our staff are genuine in their care and concern for all the young people that come to us. Our staff team have considerable experience in working with young people and we exist because we feel it is important for them to have a safe place to relax, socialise, learn and get support regardless of their background or situation. We want to see them avoid or overcome things that may prevent them from fulfilling their potential and desire to see young people growing in confidence and self-esteem, informed about issues that affect them.

Our vision for the café is that it is at the forefront of youth culture in and around Guildford , drawing young people from all backgrounds.  We have a passion to help young people feel a sense of value & purpose, belonging & trust, growth & development.  Our heart is to build positive and nurturing relationships with our young people.

Plantation is part of Guildford YMCA. The YMCA is a Christian charity committed to helping young people particularly at times of need, regardless of gender, race, ability or faith.



Our policies
Plantation has a very strict drugs and alcohol policy. No drugs or alcohol are permitted on Plantation premises. Staff have the right to search bags and have very good relationships with the local police. The police will be called and will respond quickly if illegal substances are found or suspected.
